TRW wins Kromeda award for best brake pad OE cross data

TRW Aftermarket

TRW Aftermarket has beaten stiff competition from some of the biggest names in braking to be named number one for OE Cross-Reference-Coverage in the brake pads category by prestigious Italian automotive data authority, Kromeda, in its inaugural annual awards.

The brake pads category was open to product suppliers from both the Original Equipment Suppliers (OES) and independent aftermarket (IAM) channels.

Sponsored by Autofficina Autorizzata, an industry installer website for which Kromeda supplies the database, the award was presented to TRW during Autopromotec 2015. The 26th International biennial exhibition of automotive equipment and aftermarket products took place in Bologna, Italy at the end of May.

Presenting the award, David Giardino, director of trade press magazine ‘Notiziario Motoristico’, explained: “Making sure that garages have access to up to date and relevant data is vitally important to global economic and business growth.

“It is apparent that TRW invests a great deal of time, effort and energy in doing so and in maintaining its good relationships with the vehicle manufacturers, without which this could not happen. The results are digitally determined to protect integrity and from a number of well-known names, TRW was a clear winner.”

Accepting the award, TRW Aftermarket’s Commercial Manager, Italy Massimo Pellegrino, commented: “We are extremely proud to have been recognised in this way by Kromeda and that our work is leading the industry. As specialists in their field, almost every automotive business in Italy works in tandem with Kromeda and as such this award is a huge honour for us.”

General Manager, Emanuele Castelnovo, added: “In 2015, we celebrate the tenth anniversary of the TRW Kromeda partnership; making this even more special. This award validates the great work of the entire team and motivates us to continue to deliver high quality and innovative automotive solutions.”
