TRW Proequip will launch complete HCV braking offer in 2016

TRW Aftermarket

TRW Aftermarket’s heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) programme, which is taken to market under the TRW Proequip brand, has announced that in 2016 it will add brake discs and caliper programmes to complete its HCV braking offer.

Dennis Christ, TRW’s HCV Channel Marketing Manager, explained: “Our business continues to go from strength to strength. In 2015, we achieved 10 percent sales growth across key markets; a fantastic result driven by strategic, product and digital development.

“This figure is impressive in a crowded and growing market. We are truly excited to see what we can achieve when we can offer our customers the entire HCV braking package.

“The HCV Aftermarket has been waiting for an alternative supplier to offer the complete premium quality braking package – and in 2016 this will be TRW Proequip.”

Over the next 12 months the business will add the complete Air Disc Brake System; which includes in excess of 100 ECER90-homologated brake discs, and a programme of remanufactured air brake calipers. These programmes will complement the TRW Proequip brake pad programme to complete the braking offer.

“The ideology of the full and complete ‘package’ extends far beyond our product offering,” Dennis continued.

“Our digital developments mean our customers now have greater and more convenient access to our parts than ever before, with advances such as the TRW part finder App and improved integrated on-line catalogue. In addition, Tech Corner, our free on-line technical information portal allows us to share our wealth of technical knowledge with our customers to future proof their own businesses.”

“TRW Aftermarket is a part of the ZF division Active & Passive Safety Technology. This backing, alongside our OE pedigree, constant focus on customer service and commitment to range and product development all mean our HCV business is well placed to match our market leading position across the passenger car segment, and become one of the biggest suppliers of braking parts in the HCV Aftermarket,” Dennis concluded.
