Drums with Integrated Bearings

TRW has a range of 61 drum brakes with integrated bearings following OE standards.

Benefits include:

• The integrated bearing makes it easier and quicker for the workshop to fit the new brake drum
• The integrated bearing ensures a perfect fitment for maximum safety

Bi-Metallic Drums

15 TRW brake drum references that are a combination of steel and cast iron.

• Prevents excessive expansion during high temperature braking
• During melting, graphite is treated with magnesium to form a sphere with steel-like characteristics whilst retaining high tensile strength
• Spheroidal cast iron requires less material than normal cast iron to withstand a heavy braking load
• Without the spheroidal cast iron, deformation during braking may lead to a component twist off
