TRW has been in the heavy commercial vehicle business since 1906 and is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of heavy commercial steering and braking systems. Around one in three commercial vehicles on Europe’s roads are equipped with TRW steering systems.  All TRW Proequip Steering Gears are remanufactured using only TRW OE quality components and tested to the same quality standards as new OE product.

TRW HCV Proequip Steering Gears:

TRW TAS Type steering gear:

Our gears are engineered with fewer moving parts for superior torque output and performance for both on and off-highway vehicles, with medium and heavy front axle loads, giving responsive handling and positive steering control.

TRW THP Type steering gear:

The gears are engineered to give a faster steering ratio providing improvements in lock-to-lock turns and return-to-centre response. The optional Positive Centre Feel (PCF) feature improves the steering gear on-centre feel without an increase in steering park efforts.

Using only TRW OE components, we remanufacture and test all TRW Proequip steering gears to the same quality standards as new OE products at our centre of excellence in Frydlant, Czech Republic. Our steering gears are tested to the limit to ensure every part meets TRW’s stringent quality standards.
