The new TRW Brake Fluid Tester (Part Number: YWB214) is unlike most other brake fluid testers that measure electrical conductivity of the brake fluid to determine the water content. The TRW Brake Fluid Tester takes less than a minute to measure the true boiling point of the brake fluid, independent of atmosphere or the chemical composition of the brake fluid, and produces a reliable indicator of water penetration.

The Threat Of Moisture

Once moisture contamination reaches a certain level, brake fluid loses its effectiveness and becomes unreliable and therefore unsafe. This level can now be accurately and reliably measured using the TRW Brake Fluid Tester. For safety reasons, TRW recommends a brake fluid test once a year – and a brake fluid change at least every two years.
