Reminder Sticker To Be Included In Shock Absorber Product Box

As part of a Euro-wide drive to get garages and drivers alike to understand the safety implications of having defective shock absorbers in their vehicles, TRW is to include a useful reminder sticker in every single product box.
 
TRW Automotive Aftermarket is working hard to increase the focus on shock absorbers, and identify the part as truly safety critical, after Aftermarket sudies suggest that a massive one in four vehicles in the European car parc has at least one defective shock absorber.

Defective shock absorbers increase braking distance and put lives at risk on our roads.

“It really is that simple – and
we are working hard to get this fact recognised. The sticker will not only serve as a reminder, it should also be seen as a valuable sales tool for garages to get in contact with their customers,” commented TRW’s European Product Manager Shock Absorbers, Denis Poncet. 
 
The idea is that the technician who fits the new shock absorber, fills in the date and details of the replacement parts and sticks it under the bonnet of the vehicle whilst keeping a record for the garage. The garage will then contact the driver to remind him when the shock absorbers on his vehicle are due for a check.
