Range - TRW has it covered - and rightly so, it says

‘A complete range, with comprehensive parc coverage of the models of global VMs is pivotal for continued success in the IAM of today,’ says TRW.

675 parts launched so far in 2011

This statement was made as the business announced it has launched 675 new part numbers to date, in the year 2011, across its market leading ‘Corner Module’ range of braking, steering & suspension, and associated complementary programmes.

“Increased price transparency resulting in smaller margins, and a rise in global players flooding the market are just two of the uncontrollable variables facing the industry of today,” explained TRW’s Soeren Kristensen. “Investing in continuous market research and ensuring the link to the OE market is strong, is necessary to provide a complete range helping to retain a successful business cycle. This is an area in which parts manufacturers have a level of control, and therefore must lead the way.”

Soeren continued: "It’s vital that you cater for a global market. A few years ago, spare parts specialists were still necessary for Asian vehicles. Today, business in Asia Pacific is booming and as a mass market it needs to be served."

TRW invested in range coverage throughout the economic downturn, ensuring that the business was in excellent shape with a sound offer to take to market when buoyancy returned.

  • In 2010 TRW was awarded Temot international’s ‘best market coverage and quality award’
  • In early 2011, TecDoc placed TRW top in its chosen markets of 34 suppliers of braking and S&S parts.
