Core is the lifeblood of automotive remanufacturing

The ‘raw material’ for automotive remanufacturing isn’t manufactured. It is sourced like a ‘raw material’ from salvage yards or returned by garages.

TRW’s strict core returns policy
Only components returned in a suitable condition and following our strict returns procedures are suitable for remanufacturing. Parts that are removed by brute force or have been dropped or badly treated upon removal are usually unsuitable for automotive remanufacturing.

When a part has been returned to TRW in a suitable condition, the deposit value is credited to the garage.

TRW is working in conjunction with other well-known names in the automotive remanufacturing industry and industry body CLEPA, to identify the perfect returns solution for your business.

Making returning core as simple as possible
We are always looking at ways to simplify, reduce the cost of and speed up the core returns procedure – for the whole distribution chain.

We know that one solution won’t suit everybody. So we are looking at various solutions for the good of everybody working within the automotive remanufacturing business.

But in general, we want to eliminate your product, financial and logistical concerns, and make it as easy as possible for you to return the cores in a viable condition ensuring you get your deposit back – without losing traceability of the core.

Contact us to find out how we can work with you to make the returns process easier for automotive remanufacturing.
